Plant Freesia 3-5cm deep and 5-10 cm apart in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered location. The bulbs look like small, slim onions. Plant freesia with the pointed end facing up. Freesia is not fully hardy in colder areas of the UK. It is usually recommended to lift the plants in the autumn, either when the leaves yellow, or after the first frost.
